Editorial standards
Spawn Wave Media brings together creator profiles, shows, and the SpawnCast archive. This page explains how we handle credits, links, and corrections.
Sources and credits
We prioritize original videos and episode descriptions, official podcast listings, and creator-owned profiles. A show’s usual cast does not prove who appeared in a specific episode. We publish appearance credits only when the episode evidence supports them.
Historical research
The archive is still being researched. “First confirmed appearance” describes the earliest supported credit currently in the archive. It does not claim a creator’s first ever appearance. Lifetime totals remain unpublished until the relevant history has been audited.
Creator identities and links
Uncertain names and aliases remain in editorial review. We do not automatically merge similar names. Public profile links are checked against creator-owned sources; unverified links remain unpublished.
Videos and listening links
Embedded videos and audio remain hosted by their respective platforms. Availability can change. When an exact episode player cannot be verified, we provide the available official destination rather than presenting a different episode as the requested one.
Support and merchandise
Support and merchandise links lead to the relevant creator’s official third-party destination. The destination displays its current prices, membership benefits, purchase terms, and support arrangements.
Corrections
Credits and source links can be corrected as new evidence becomes available. Creator account changes to identity verification and historical credits require editorial review. A dedicated site contact route is being prepared.
